Pros:
Works out of box with no software fumbling, allows you stop and restart in the middle of scan job. Portable, well designed. Have only scanned about 1,000 s so far so dont know about long term longevity.
Cons:
Does not have multiple detection so you do have to watch it. It is good at feeding s but not great. This is the only nitpick I have with this machine.

Most efficient product I have seen with good software. Once they incorporate stuck detection and usb 3 it will go from a good to great product.

Pros:
You don''t need to load software to get this scanner to work. The scanner has self contained software for simple duplex scans. It comes with software to do more advanced scans. See Cons!
Cons:
I was unable to get this to work on computers using Windows Vista and XP with the extra software. It worked with no problem on Windows 7. When I called Canon, they too had problems. It has been 3 weeks and they have not figured out what the problem is.

I would be very careful purchasing this item if you run Vista or XP. You''ll probably be happy with it if you are on Windows 7. If Canon fixes their software, this would be great. For now, I can only use it in the mode that has only simple scanning.

Pros:
Easy set up. No "pre-scan" wait. Super fast scans of both sides on USB 3.0. No special software needs to be loaded so it runs on any PC I plug it into.
