Pros:
Superior optics, super sturdy, great images
Cons:
none
Comment:
I''m a professional photographer and will only buy OEM lenses. I have used aftermarket lenses (Sigma, Tokina) and I have found they fall apart long before they should. I had a 17-35mm lens for 15 years and until it (and I) got run over it was performing flawlessly. I would highly recommend this lens to anyone and it is a less expensive alternative to the faster 16-35mm f/2.8 lens.

Pros:
Perfect match for my Canon 5D Mark II Maybe not the best for a Pro but for an amateur it performs great and it is affordable.
Cons:
None
Comment:
I strongly recommend it to whoever wants to expand his basic lens set.

Pros:
L Series quality and performance and reputation, Genuine product and not an import or gray market item. Sharp focus, etc...
Cons:
$$$ but is to be expected with an L series lens and worth the long term investment.
Comment:
I will be honest about having my reservations buying a high end camera lens from a computer store, but I bit the bullet, and the fact the item was back ordered in most of my other "go to" stores helped that decision as well. The transaction went smooth, the item shipped that day, came with everything that was supposed to be in it including the USA warranty and not a gray market international warranty. The lens itself is a great addition to my lens collection and even rivals my prime 50 macro in sharpness, especially stopped down to F5.6-F11. Wide open it''s quite nice as well... highly recommended.

Pros:
Price for L Gl. Fairly Wide, good for architecture / interiors. Nice hood / case.
Cons:
F4, but almost half the price of F2.8
Comment:
Pretty good lense in general. If there is a lot of light, images are crisp and clear with great color / contrast. I''ve also used the F2.8 which offers better images in lower light, but cost almost twice as much.

Pros:
More versatile than I would have imagined... I bought it for taking photos of interior spaces, but also used it at an outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament with great success. It allowed me to get the full court in view!
Cons:
None that I''ve found.
Comment:
This lens now spends more time on my camera than any other.
