Pros:
Good design and easy to use. I use this mainly for geocaching. It does get used as a street navigation device when I am in areas I am unfamiliar with.
Cons:
I haven't seen any.
Comment about Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx Portable Navigator
I have seen some slightly negative comments about this device's street nav abilities. Let me say that this is not what this was primarily designed for, it is a hand held GPS. If you purchase the street mapping package it will do a good job of helping you navigate. If you want a GPS that is made for that purpose buy a Nuvi or Streetpilot.

Pros:
I love the increased accuracy and being able download geocache data instead of punching in coordinates by hand.
Cons:
The base maps are only slightly better than none and the optional topo maps are cost as much as a GPS receiver.

Rugged GPS, nice bright screen, personalize every screen. Very easy to use. Even gets a satilite fix indoors.
Cons:
turn by turn routing can be very generalized.
Comment about Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx Portable Navigator
Great product, I also own on of the Legend series gps, menu's are simular and using the 600CX was pretty easy from the start. Use the manual to get to know your GPS and all it's features. I originally upgraded to a Magellian handheld GPS, which I didn't like,,, even compared to my old b/w Garmin Legend. So I returned it and stuck with Garmin. Great decision on my part. I use the 600cx for geocaching and 4wheeling, and I don't have any complants.

Pros:
Easy to use.
Cons:
One of our main goals in purchasing the GPS was to have immediate access to shopping/restaurants in areas where we travel. The information contained in the software available for purchase with the system is at least two years old.

Pros:
Great service, even under heavily wooded areas. When no one else in my group could get a signal, I could. Great on accuracy - others were +/- 20m, I was only 4-5m. Has games, which I didn't expect and was a fun way to familiarize yourself with how GPS works (this is my first unit)
Cons:
Expensive, but worth it if you need accuracy or find yourself in the woods a lot.
Comment about Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx Portable Navigator
I have never had a GPS before, so I am only to comment on ease of use (took a slight learning curve, but even I was immediately able to basic functions). I can also comment that compared to the etrex series and other brands, this unit is definitely superior. It is a little large in size, but not too bad.

Wow! This unit impresses me more each time I turn it on. I don't know what could be done to make it any better than this. This is the first GPS I have owned but have used or tried to use other units that my friends had. This one tops all the others I have tried.
