Cons:
It comes with old maps.
When you e-mail to PCNation or Garmin to get a support nobody answers e-mails.
Sometime it takes couple of minutes while Garmin finds satellites (even on open air).
Comment about Garmin nuvi 270 Automobile Navigator
My experience is that Garmin came with old maps. I thought ok, I would get free updates. But I got the free update only for Europe City Navigator.
After 2 weeks from the purchase Garmin started to display a message indicating that I have more than 1 year old map (North America City Navigator) and I can purchase an update on Garmin web-site.
I visited the web-side but I did not get a free update. I could just buy it.
Therefore PCNation/Garmin sold me an old map as a new one!
When I sent an e-mail to both PCNation and Garmin to get a support nobody answered!
The serious companies do not behave like this.
I definitely do not recommend this product!
(When I buy a product I do not expect I will buy something old that I must buy an update for.)

Pros:
easy to use ... not many bells and whistles, but low price. I was worried Id miss the QERTY keyboard on more expensive models, but it hasnt been a big deal at all. Best value GPS available IMO. Fits nicely in my shirt pocket. No antennae to break off.
Cons:
routes are sometimes not great (even a bit nonsensical), but no worse than other GPS Ive owned. Hard to see screen in bright daylight.

Im glad I went with this small no frills model ... I really dont miss the more expensive "extras" Ive used it successfully in North America, South America with no issues (had to buy South American maps from third party). Plan to use Europe maps soon and dont foresee any problem.

Pros:
Compact. Includes European maps. Fair price. Easy to use. Good battery life. Upon registering the unit, Garmin sent me a free update download for European maps.
Cons:
Slow to acquire satellites. Minimal user's manual: you have to intuit a lot, but with experimentation, you can figure it all out.
Comment about Garmin nuvi 270 Automobile Navigator
So far I am happy with my Garmin Nuvi 270. Using it in my home town, Eugene, OR, I find it doesn't always choose the most efficient route, although it always navigates eventually to the destination. It has tried to route me (more than once) the wrong way on a major one-way arterial. But if that were to happen in an unfamiliar place, it is fairly ease to select an alternate route.
I will try the unit in Europe next month (that's why I bought it in the first place), and perhaps can update this review after I see how it works there.
There seems to be little difference between the Automobile/Pedestrian/Bicycle modes other than calculating arrival time.
So far, I would recommend the unit.

Pros:
Easy to use, very user friendly, great price.
Quick delivery, item as described.
Excellent maps of England and Scotland.
Cons:
Difficult to pick up satellites if moving in a car, bus, or train, or inside a building.
In Europe, it is sometimes difficult to understand the exit instructions from a roundabout, but not a major problem.
Also, at some turns, it does not always identify the exact moment of some turns, but again, it quickly recomputes the route and gets you back on track. Note: Some GPSs make a "ping" sound at the exact turn.
Comment about Garmin nuvi 270 Automobile Navigator
Overall, a great unit, very affordable compared to other higher priced GPSs. Could not have done without it while driving in Scotland for a week.
Get a wall charger (with appropriate plugs)if travelling to Europe (sold separately). European rental car charging receptacles do not remain "hot" if the car is not running.
Also, does not come with a case (sold separately).
