Pros:
I found the GPS easy to install and setup. Most commands are straight forward, being used to a build in GPS in my car helped in recognizing what to do and how to interact with the GPS unit.Updates were quick and easy, but you do need to pay attention to the manual, and read it. Don''t ume you know everything you need to know. Bluetooth phones were easy to setup, along with my bluetooth headset.
Cons:
So far I have no problems with the GPS, but I''m still tweeking.
Comment:
Had the features I was looking for, and PC Nation had the price and service.

Pros:
So many to list in just a few weeks in use:
1) IQ routes for traffic history by day/hour and Live traffic, when you turn on first before routing, it flashes total number of incidents and time delay in minutes, but I don''t know for what area since I live in small town without traffic service. Free first 3 months then allowed by month at $9.95. No actual traffic automatic re-routing experience yet.
2) Voice recognition quick&accurate with radio and A/C on and many commands offered.
3) Cellular link for google address search, weather next 5 days for many options including via google, and fuel prices by your chosen fuel type.
4) Quick link to mark map error and so many options to send exact type of change needed whether for roads or POIs to TomTom on next connect to TomTomHome on PC or MAC for me.
5) Quickly recalculates when deviate from route in silence unless it has to give another command. Magellan 4250 would always announce "Recalculating route".
6) Several options to view route by text, images, map, summary and traffic and able to calculate alternatives quickly to navigate via a POI or avoid roadblock or avoid part of route.
7) TomTomHome application lets you connect device and instantly provides safety camera updates, quickGPSfix (where satellites are), and fuel prices, Map Share updates by TomTom and other users. Plus links for voices, maps, backup and optional Map updates by users or companies like all CrackerBarrel or all amusement parks.
8) Easy link for home-work traffic and back. You can easily change while on travel to hotel-destination and back.
9) Device hasn''t froze up yet though I know to hold on/off for 15 seconds for soft reboot, but after disconnect from PC from TomTomHome updates, it soft reboots.
10) Lane guidance for interstate changes and exits.
Cons:
You can be working in a selection after several menus and it starts over main menu often rather than returning to existing menu when you want to do multiple instances of the same function.
More wish list of functionality from Magellan:
1) Auto turn on when car power connected, but it does auto power down when disconnected.
2) Voice control must be triggered by touching microphone on screen, but a plethora of commands allowed, but you have to click CONTINUE once route determined from safety prompt. You just have to say Magellen for voice recognition on 4250 though I found triggered accidently by something on radio, but rarely.
Comment:
I had a Magellan 4250 that I was quite pleased with over a year, but car power jack had to be replaced several times as kept failing after some months. Then during 4th July trip to Philadelphia - device completely failed on 2nd day, first right 1/3 of screen then locked up. I bought just a cheap TomTom 340 from BestBuy to get me by for the vacation week. I liked the device, but also wanted live traffic support. I read reviews where several went to TomTom 740 Live over Garmin 887. Because what happened to the Magellan 4250, I didn''t want to get another.

Pros:
Easy to use
Large Icons
Easy to hear and see while driving
Many modes to play with!
Cons:
Computer voice mispronounces many words
Not accurate for newer neighborhoods
ONLINE route planner hard to use
Mobile phone features not user friendly
Comment:
The actual device is excellent. It is very easy to use and works great. Updates traffic conditions and re-plans very, very quickly. The additional feature of giving your mph compared to speed limit is a great bonus!
The TomTom website leaves a bit to be desired as it isn''t very easy to find what you are looking for. However, the regular program is very easy use, so I''ve pretty much avoided the website altogether.
The computer voice tends to mispronounce basic things like the city of "Los Angeles." I have been using the regular voice of Homer Simpson which is great! That voice does cost extra however. It is very easy to find addons for cost from the computer program itself.
The mobile phone feature is nice, but it''s not all that intuitive like the rest of the features on the device.
The device itself has very large icons making it easy to see and it''s sound is very good. This is especially important to me as I have a car with very loud road noise, but I was still able to hear the device just fine.
I would recommend this to anybody, including those who don''t feel they are very familiar with technology. I would not recommend using it for bluetooth with your mobile phone until you are very comfortable with it. You don''t want to hang up on some important business call!
Overall I''m extremely happy with it. All the cons are not features that I was initially concerned about when I purchased the TOMTOM GO Live so it works great for all the things I did want!

Pros:
Nice screen, easy to navigate through menus, great sound, superior mounting, easy to read, accurate if good.
Cons:
Does not reference street names to turn on to. Gives great early waring of turn ahead, but makes no ociation of what street you should be turning on.
Comment:
Nice GPS. I like it better than the Garmin, but do not like the absence of ociating a street name or number that you are to turn on. I guess I should clarify this - I am referring to the absence of ociation audio of the street name. The street names are on the screen, but not a mention of them verbally. Would be the best on the market if it had this audio reference.
