Pros:
excellent drive, looks good on the desk, easy to install.
Cons:
had some conflict with other USB devices, especially flash drives that I use to move stuff from home to office, etc. Fairly easily resolved, but some mention of the possibility and some FAQs on how to fix it would have been nice to have.

4 stars rather than 5 only because the conflict problem (using Windows XP)wasn''t doented.

Pros:
Backs up very fast. Lots of room for storage. Very quiet. Does not take up much desk top space.
Cons:
Unless your program can run on a drive other than c:, don''t get this to run programs/play games with. It is always running in the background, but backup schedule is decided by you, plus it can be shut down.
Comment:
This is an excellent way to back up those files you are afraid of losing. Games can be played from this drive, but first c with the game manufacturer to see if it is possible with that game. I have had no problems with this HD.
