Extremely fast. Very good quality. Cheap printing cost. Very easy to set up. Comes with cartridge included. Very much bang for buck. very clean design, looks very professional.
It is a little loud. Not terribly loud though. And it only makes noise when it is turned on, for about 15 seconds. And also when actually printing. Other than that it is completely silent. I don''t mind it at all really, but of course quieter is better.
Let me give a little background info. Ive gone through probably 3 or 4 printers in the last 10 years, all very crappy, 3 were free ones that came with purchase of a computer. They were all color inkjets. Most recently, I had a lexmark z something or other and the cartridges ran out and the paper wasn''t feeding properly...blah blah it was a piece of crap. I finally decided I was going to buy a descent printer as I am going to need to do a little more printing (in grad school). So I started my research. There are sooo many printers out there its almost overwhelming to try to find the perfect one. And if you''re like me, anytime I''m spending more than 100 bucks on something it better be the best for the price. The two above all most important things for me were speed and cost of printing. Wanting speed I knew I really wanted a laserjet. Inkjets are okay i guess if you need to do color printing, but it doesn''t really bother me that this isn''t color. Photos always seem crappy when they''re from any kind of home printer anyways. Cost of printing is second most important to me. I have hated having to buy inkjet carts and they always seem to be low. $30 a cart usually for the other printers i''ve owned, and you have to buy color and b&w. I''d rather pay $80 for the laserjet cart and get like 5 times as many s. (although I haven''t owned it long enough to actually test that, based on specs). AND, I don''t have to buy the laser cartridge nearly as often. I must admit I''ve had to comprimise in a couple places on this. First, I really wanted a built in scanner and fax. I wouldn''t use it often but it would be nice. Second, I really didnt want to spend as much money as I did on this. I really wanted to stay around 100-125ish. About the scanner/fax, It didnt seem like there were very many available for laserjet. The inkjet ones I looked at in my price range seemed flimsy and kind of cheap feeling. This printer is the opposite of flimsy and cheap. Anyways, I just thought I''d share all this because there are other people trying to decide between laser and ink, etc. On print speed: The printer begins printer the first exactly 3.5 seconds from when the print button is pressing in MS Word 2007 (just timed it). by 7 seconds the first is complete. If you print 10 s it takes about 25 seconds total.

Fast. Good print jobs.
It wouldn''t work with my new 64 bit. I had to spend an hour and half with HP before they got it working.
As I work mainly with B&W doents it fits my needs. I have to wait to see if it last as long as my HP Lasjert 6L that lasted 10 years.
