2.5 IN PREMIUM CEILING SPKR CONTROL 442C/T (PACK OF 2)

Part of the Control 400 collection's Premium Coverage Series, the JBL Control 442C/T is an ultra-compact in-ceiling professional satellite loudspeaker designed for use with the Control 440CS/T in-ceiling subwoofer. When combined with the Control 440CS/T, the Control 442C/T offers an extremely refined, natural, and powerful sounding subwoofer-satellite system that is ideal for applications requiring wide bandwidth, superior sonic performance, and minimal visual impact.

The stylish bezel-less grille fits seamlessly into a variety of architectural aesthetics. The integrated backcan on the Control 442C/T combined with the C-ring support backing plate allows for quick and easy installation of the unit. The system's 60 mm (2.5 in) mid/high driver features a polypropylene cone and pure butyl rubber surround for long life. The copper-clad aluminum voice coil wound on a vented aluminum former offers low distortion.

The 16Ω impedance allows paralleling up to 4 speakers on a 4Ω capable amplifier. For distributed systems, the ULregistered transformer is designed for exceptionally lowsaturation, even at high drive levels, providing top quality, low distortion distributed sound character.

The Control 442C/T must be operated with either an active high-pass filter or a passive crossover, such as the one built into the Control 440CS/T subwoofer, to protect it against damage from low frequencies. Because of the very light weight of Control 442C/T, tile rails may not be required for many in-ceiling applications. They are not packaged with this model, however MTC-RAIL tile rail sets are available separately. Housed in a compact package, the lightweight Control 442C/T features an elegant, unobtrusive design and is ideal for both small and large projects alike.

The speaker is packaged with grille, integral backcan, and c-ring for fast installation. The included white grille is paintable (grille backing is removeable and re-applicable for painting), and optional accessory grilles are available in black (JBL-MTC-442BG) and in square (JBL-MTC-442SG, white only).

The Control 442C/T is UL 1480A and UL 2043 listed.
